Notes &
A VC: Disqus and Seesmic Pair Up For Video Comments
Just last night I was saying that Disqus could eat Seesmic’s lunch by releasing video comments into its platform; this seems to be the only lasting, practical usage that I see coming out of Seesmic. I won’t go to a video ‘conversation site’ because Seesmic gives meĀ no reason to have or want to have conversations there. But putting Seesmic in places where conversations are already occurring (blog posts, twitter, etc), that’s a nice little value-add. Is it a sustainable business in itself? I’m not sure about that. I wonder if Disqus considered creating its own thing here, or will consider it in the future…
