There are many things not to like about Kobe. His shot selection can be atrocious (though this month it’s been pretty good, for his career, this is the most important factor separating him and MJ). Sometimes his interviews come across as phony and make you cringe. But no one is as gritty as a competitor, no one wants it more, and no one works harder than Kobe. When so many athletes show up just to claim paychecks, this is why sports fans appreciate Kobe.
