I’m all for earmarks reform, but less convinced of Citizen Funded Elections, which seems like it would raise more questions than it would answer. It’s something I’d like to study more in depth at some point, but intuitively, it seems like incumbants, rich people, or famous people would be at a significant advantage should “upstarts” (like Obama) not have the ability to go out and raise more money to compensate for their lower starting stature or inability to self-fund.

I’m partial to campaign finance laws that do away with limits and caps (which are inevitably skirted, by 527 groups and their kin), and instead encourage complete, 100% transparency.
