Keep an eye out for OrangeLime - a video startup based out of NYC. It’s sort of in stealth mode now, so I can’t spill all the beans, but I’ve come to know the founders a bit, and they’re unto something with massive potential - a sort of glam for the video makers of the world. There are great long tail communities of talented video makers whose main revenue is the Youtube partnership program, and OrangeLime is working on unlocking the latent potential there by building grouping these amateur video-makers into a community. That means leverage in advertising negotiations, better business development, and more distribution. OrangeLime might just nail the online studio model…
